Winter Show Auditions

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce our two winter shows for this year! These two, much like out others shows this year, will have special safety measures put in place so performing during the pandemic will not be an issue! Now, the moment many of you have been waiting for, here are out two shows!

Antigone by Sophocles- directed by Kari Beutz

The Diary of Adam and Eve by Mark Twain- directed by Jay Asfeld

Both shows will be having a joint audition together on November 18th and 19th from 3-5pm in the auditorium. Callbacks will be on November 20th from 3-5pm. For auditions, please have a 1 minute monologue memorized upon your arrival. Signups are on the auditorium door! Performances for Antigone will be on February 4th-6th, while school performances of the Diary of Adam and Eve will be January 28th-29th. The One Act Competition will be held online this year, so keep checking in with us for updates! Furthermore, there will be a meeting for both tech and cast on November 23 to discuss style, COVID, and other concepts.

With auditions comes Monologue Mentors! Monologue Mentors will be after school on Monday the 16th in the PAC from 3-5. There will be multiple people to help you find your monologue, practice, and memorize, so please consider checking in!

Fall Shorts Theater Festival Update

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce that the Fall Shorts Theater Festival will finally be up for performances on November 12th, 13th, and 14th at 7:00pm in the PAC! All actors and tech will be wearing masks. We require the audience to also wear their masks, and social distancing measures are put in place to keep everyone safe!

If you are interested in paying for tickets beforehand, we have a nifty form for you to fill out! The costs are as follows: 5$ for students and 7$ for adults.

Also, if you are interested in ushering for our shows, we would love to have you! If you are a high schooler, when you are head usher you get your lettering project for the year done! Ushering is a great way for students to help others and get their lettering project done in a very short amount of time! If you are interested, please sign up on the form below.

Drama Club Kickoff Movie Night!

Hello everyone! We as a Drama Department realize how tough it is to stay social during COVID-19, cohorts, and school season in general. We wanted you all to know that the EPHS Drama Department is a community that you can always go to in tough times.

Our executive team has decided to host a Drama Club Kickoff Social Movie Night on October 9th in the PAC. Doors open at 7 and the movie starts at 7:30. We invite everyone to bring blankets, comfy clothes, and masks! We also have a poll posted in the Drama Groupme with a few options to what our movie will be, so be sure to vote!

We hope that this will be a great opportunity to stay in touch with your peers while keeping a safe distance and are excited to see everyone there!

Drama Club Update and First Info Video!

Hello! After about a month into school, everyone is starting to get the hang of the new system. Since we are all moving alone well, it’s time for Drama Club! Below is our executive group’s first ever informational video! Your executive members Katherine, Reagan, Vishwa, and Sam have put this video together with the hopes of clearing up a few things that we know many of you are wondering about!

This video will address lettering, shows, tech, drama club, and socials. Please watch the entire video before contacting any of the executive members with questions. If there is anything you need to be cleared up after the video don’t be afraid to shoot any of the exec members an email or message the Drama Instagram! We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our first Drama Club meeting after school on October 13th at 3:30pm.

Fall Short Festival Auditions

Come audition for this years Fall Shorts Festival! Located in the PAC from 3:00-5:00 tomorrow, you will be able to audition in small groups and present 2 monologues (list located on the Fall Shorts Festival page under 2020-2021 shows). Don’t be afraid to sign up, there are still a lot of spots open! We are looking foreword to seeing everyone there!

Fall Monologue Mentors

Need help with Fall Shows? We can help! On Monday at the PAC from 3-4pm we are hosting a Monologue Mentors meeting to help everyone get on the right foot! Here, we have Juniors and Seniors present to help you pick your monologue and work on perfecting it! We also will be giving audition advice and other details about this year’s auditions. We hope to see you all there!
